I love Roger Ebert
Yeah, I don't always agree with him and he has missed the point on a number of films I love (Blue Velvet), but he really hit the nail on the head with this editorial.

Japanese Movie Link
My sister turned me on to this one:
Midnight Eye
Guys writing it seem to have a really good grasp on the history and culture, not just your usual fan-boy blathering. Seems like a really good resource. Can't wait until I have a few hours to check it out properly.

Meeko Gets Personal
Or at least as personal as I'll ever get on this blog. I have been very careful to leave my private life out of my ramblings here, as my intention is to keep this as a showcase for my writing and for the Den of Sin. The internet is already clogged with people airing all sorts of their personal baggage into cyberspace. Granted some of these diaries belong to friends of mine, but it has not been something I've been keen to do myself.
However, as you may have noticed I have not posted anything for about a month. I haven't written anything new for Film Threat and reminders for the Den of Sin have been spotty at best. Most of you who care already know why this is, and for those who don't: trust me, it's not as bad as it sounds. It is something good, and happy and incredibly stressful. Despite all of my mental preparation, it has been a lot more stressful than I had counted on.
So I want to apologize for being so flaky. Things are getting under control and by May the D.o.S. will be up and running on all engines again. I think we might even go back to weekly screenings.
That is all.

R.I.P. Dr. Duke
So far the nicest obit/memorial piece I've read today.
I would like to incorporate some sort of tribute at tonight's D.o.S. screening if anyone has any suggestions.

Today's Smut Post
Just in case John Stewart and Stephen Colbert didn't do it for you, more slash fiction of the "journalistic" (term used loosely) variety.
Again, don't say I didn't warn you.

For Mature Readers Only
Sure, I love the Daily Show, you love the Daily Show, we all love the Daily Show... but love on The Daily Show?
I think I have to wash out my eyeballs.
Wait, there's more.

For Those in VanCity
I have a new Article in this week's Terminal City, and if I do say so myself, I think it's my best one to date. I think it'll be link on their site soon, so I'll put it up here if that happens.
On another note, after browsing Ugly Breast Implants earlier this week it has come to my attention that there is a whole subculture of Porn Blogs. I guess I shouldn't really be surprised, it is the internet after all. It's just a little disheartening.
